The Indian Navy recently concluded a spectacular Operational Demonstration (Op Demo) at the iconic Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on January 4, 2025. This impressive event showcased the Navy’s operational prowess and cutting-edge capabilities, reaffirming its commitment to national security and maritime excellence. The event was graced by Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who attended as the Chief Guest, while Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, hosted the event.
The Op Demo featured a stunning display of the Indian Navy’s strength, with warships, aircraft, submarines, and MARCOS (Marine Commandos) demonstrating their capabilities. The grand finale included a Beating Retreat Ceremony by the Eastern Naval Command, a flawless Continuity Drill, and a captivating Laser and Drone Show, which left the audience mesmerized. The event attracted lakhs of spectators, including the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh, senior dignitaries, MPs, MLAs, and local citizens, with many more viewing the proceedings via live telecast.
In his address, the Chief Minister praised the Indian Navy for its courage, technological advancements, and its efforts in community outreach. He emphasized the enduring bond between the people of Andhra Pradesh and the Indian Navy, commending the Navy’s role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime borders and promoting goodwill among citizens.
