The fourth edition of the Indo-Indonesia bilateral Exercise Samudra Shakti-23 concluded on May 19, 2023. The sea phase of the exercise, held from May 17-19, witnessed the participation of Indian ASW corvette INS Kavaratti and Indonesian Navy’s KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda.
The exercises included tactical manoeuvres, weapon firings, helicopter operations, air defense, and anti-submarine warfare exercises, enhancing interoperability between the two navies. The exercise also featured a productive harbor phase with professional interactions, table-top exercises, and sports exchanges.
The successful completion of Samudra Shakti-23 showcased the strong partnership between India and Indonesia, emphasizing their commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region through cooperative engagements.
