The Russian Tactical Missiles Corporation is one of the leaders in the global market of precision air, sea and coastal based weapons, as well as one of the biggest holding companies of the Russian military industry. In 2022, the corporation celebrated its 20th anniversary. During this time, it has expanded to four dozen enterprises, and its portfolio significantly expanded. Among the novelties presented at the recent international air shows, it is worth to note the Grom-E1 air-launched guided missile and Grom-E2 gliding munition, the upgraded version of the Kh-59MK anti-ship missile, the Kh-69 air-to-surface stealth high-precision air-launched missile, the ET-1E electric torpedo.
“India is among the most important and reliable partners. In the early 2000s, Indian military specialists were the first to evaluate the prospects of the new Uran-E shipborne missile system with the Kh-35E anti-ship missile. The joint Russian-Indian project to develop and produce BrahMos tactical missiles for land-, sea-, and air-based weapon systems is being successfully implemented. The participants in the BrahMos Aerospace Private Ltd enterprise, formed in 1998, are the NPO Mashinostroyenia, which is now part of Tactical Missiles Corporation, and the Defense Research and Development Organization of the Indian Ministry of Defense,” – said the Tactical Missiles Corporation in its official article, published in the Aero India 2023 edition of the Russian Aviation & Military Guide (RAMG).
Boris Obnosov, the General Director of the Tactical Missiles Corporation, always underlines the highest efficiency of the BrahMos project, which was originally built on mutual respect of the partners for each other.
“I believe that the history of the BrahMos missile and the work of Russian and Indian colleagues within this enterprise is virtually a perfect example of successful cooperation in developing high-precision weapons,” emphasizes the head of the corporation.
The corporation appreciates the longstanding, fruitful and mutually beneficial experience of cooperation with India.
“At present we are developing our own technologies in the field of advanced structural materials, heat shielding, engines, guidance systems and software. The principles of using artificial intelligence in control and target recognition systems are being improved. Over the past two decades, the Tactical Missiles Corporation has created more than 20 high precision weapon systems. One of the priority areas of work is the miniaturization of aircraft missiles”, – said the corporation.
The corporation is working on creating more advanced high-precision weapons in order to increase range and speed of flight, increase combat load and interference immunity.
