Leonardo and Dallara collaborates for the design and production of composite parts

Leonardo and Dallara have extended the scope of their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at accelerating innovation in the design and production of composite parts for Leonardo’s aeronautical platforms, and in the development of simulation capabilities underpinning the evolution of Leonardo’s products.

The agreement, signed by the Leonardo CEO Alessandro Profumo and the Dallara CEO Andrea Pontremoli, signals the launch of new joint projects within the framework of Leonardo’s innovation-driven initiatives in the fields of Advanced Materials, Digital Twins and Advanced Simulation. Leonardo has been investing significantly in this field for some time now, both through its Divisions and by developing a network of 11 Leonardo Labs, interconnected with universities, polytechnics, research centres and partner companies, with a view to creating an ever-evolving innovation ecosystem.

The Partnership with Dallara confirms Leonardo’s commitment to promoting an innovative ecosystem focused on the development of cross-cutting technology projects within the framework of the “Master the New” section of the “Be Tomorrow 2030” strategic growth plan, implemented also through collaborations with third-party industrial enterprises having a complementary technological approach to the evolution of their respective businesses. By strengthening its strategic partnerships, Leonardo has become a leading player capable of driving innovation by creating new technologies and new high-tech markets meeting the challenges posed by the growing complexity of the digital age, thus augmenting its long-term competitiveness also from a sustainability perspective.
